Election to fill Jane Harman’s post is Tuesday

Share

Voters will go to the polls Tuesday to pick a replacement for former Rep. Jane Harman and choose one board member each for the Los Angeles Unified School District and the Los Angeles Community College District.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mail-in ballots must be received by the time polls close or can be dropped off at a voting place on election day.

Sixteen candidates are on the ballot in the 36th Congressional District to replace Harman, who resigned in February. If no one wins a majority in that special election Tuesday, the top two finishers, regardless of party, will compete in a July 12 runoff.
