Homeowners, the Clock Is Ticking

Orange County Treasurer-Tax Collector John M.W. Moorlach reminded homeowners Friday that the latest installment of annual property taxes is due Monday.

The payments must be postmarked by Monday to be considered on time. Late payments are subject to a 10% penalty.

Taxpayers in Orange County can pay by check in person at 12 Civic Center Plaza, Suite G76, Santa Ana, or by mail at P.O. Box 1438, Santa Ana, CA 92702-1438.

A drop box is available for check payments made after 6 p.m. Monday until midnight. Payments also can be dropped off at the Santa Ana Processing Center Post Office, 3101 W. Sunflower Ave., Santa Ana, until 11 p.m. Monday.

Taxpayers can pay by credit card by calling (714) 834-3411. Payments can be made in person using Discover cards only. Rates for processing credit card payments and other information on property tax bills, including parcel numbers, can be found at the treasurer-tax collector’s website at www.ocgov.com/treas.
