Law enforcement authorities Saturday were investigating three unrelated shootings that killed two men in Boyle Heights and a partygoer in Watts.

Francisco Tomas, 22, died late Friday night after being shot in an apparent gang- related attack, LA. police said.

Tomas was walking in the 3300 block of East Olympic Boulevard in Boyle Heights about 10:45 p.m. with two friends when two men approached and asked where they were from, according to police. The assailants then began shooting and fatally wounded Tomas in the chest.

The other men suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to police, who are still searching for the suspects.

Elsewhere in Boyle Heights, Timothy Edward Record, 38, was found behind the driver’s seat of a car in the 100 block of South Utah Street about 7:30 a.m. Saturday, according to police. Numerous shell casings were found around the scene, and police think Record was shot between 2:30 and 3:30 a.m.

In Watts, a man was fatally shot early Saturday morning after leaving a party, according to a statement from the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department.

He and another man were standing in the 1400 block of West 107th Street when two other men drove up in a dark car and opened fire. One man was pronounced dead at the scene while the other was taken to a hospital, where he was in critical condition, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

The victims had not been identified, and authorities were still looking for the attackers.
