Readers React: Oh, please, spare our dogs the high-tech

When I read this article, I thought, how interesting and inventive, and then I got worried.

As you wrote, the Binatone allows us to leave voice commands so we can talk to our “pooch” from anywhere, at any time.

The Petcube Camera lets pet owners talk to and play with their pets remotely via smartphone. ( “A smartphone for your dog,” Business, Jan. 7)

Will our dogs become even more like humans? Will they start barking and become anxious and neurotic when they no longer hear the voice of their human companion every day?

Most of us are concerned when we don’t receive sufficient emails, texts and tweets — and now we want our dogs to feel just like us?

Can’t we just let our dogs enjoy the simple life without all this technology?
