Brian Matusz tossed five innings to lead the Orioles over the Detroit Tigers, 8-2, in his major league debut. Matusz held the Tigers to one run and six hits in the game, throwing 65 of his 99 pitches for strikes. During his first season in the majors, Matusz was 5-2 with a 4.63 ERA in eight starts.
