Kobe Bryant can be charming, he can be tight-lipped and sometimes he can be hilarious.

At Friday morning’s shootaround he decided to be hilarious.

The Lakers saw the movie “Lincoln” together Thursday evening and Bryant joked that the players were surprised by the film’s ending.

“I don’t know if the guys knew who he was.... It came as a big shock to them when he was killed,” Bryant said Friday, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPN.

Lincoln, of course, was assassinated in 1865.

Some of the players slept through the film while others found it fascinating but, perhaps most importantly, Bryant’s light-hearted ribbing of his teammates is a good sign that the group movie night facilitated some good team bonding -- and maybe some good team education.
