Update: This will be the Sparks’ first game since Joe Bryant replaced Jennifer Gillom as head coach. San Antonio has the best record in the WNBA’s Western Conference, while the Sparks have lost five straight — their longest losing slide since 2007. The Silver Stars already have a win over the Sparks this season, 90-80, and that was with Candace Parker in the Sparks’ lineup. She is now out with a knee injury. San Antonio is led by Becky Hammon, who is averaging 17.4 points.
