The Clippers signed Nate Robinson to a second 10-day contract on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old reserve guard signed his first 10-day contract with the Clippers on March 7, and went on to average four points, 1.4 rebounds and two assists in 14.6 minutes over five games.

Robinson has helped provide a spark for the Clippers off the bench while Jamal Crawford has been out. The reigning sixth man of the year has missed six straight games because of a bruised right calf.

“Jamal is out for a while,” Clippers Coach Doc Rivers said Monday.

Robinson, a nine-year NBA veteran who was originally drafted as the 21st overall pick by the Phoenix Suns in 2005, has played under Rivers before, helping the Boston Celtics reach the 2010 NBA Finals.

He has career averages of 11.1 points, three assists and 2.4 rebounds in 22.6 minutes over 612 games with New York, Boston, Oklahoma City, Golden State, Chicago, Denver and Los Angeles.
