Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Donte’ Stallworth broke his foot Saturday night in a 24-10 exhibition win against the visiting New York Giants and probably will be sidelined for two months.

Stallworth probably was hurt during one of his three punt returns. He played limited time on offense and did not catch a pass.

Ravens Coach John Harbaugh said Stallworth will have a screw put in his foot and that he hopes to have Stallworth back on the field around the time the team has its bye week Oct. 31.

Joe Flacco passed for 229 yards and two touchdowns for the Ravens. Giants quarterback Eli Manning, who returned after a one-game absence, was nine for 18 for 63 yards with an interception.

Arizona 14, Chicago 9: Derek Anderson and Matt Leinart each passed for a touchdown while delivering solid if not spectacular performances to help the Cardinals beat the Bears. Anderson, who started, completed seven of 12 passes for 94 yards, and Leinart came in late in the second quarter and was nine for 10 for 84 yards with a touchdown pass.

Chicago’s Lance Briggs sprained an ankle early in the second quarter and sat out the rest of the game, another blow to a linebacking corps already missing Brian Urlacher, who has a strained left calf.

Buffalo 35, Cincinnati 20: Rookie running back C.J. Spiller scored two touchdowns for the Bills. Spiller has three touchdowns in two starts in place of injured veterans Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch. Cincinnati quarterback Carson Palmer led two touchdown drives in the three series he played. Palmer opened with a nine-yard touchdown pass to rookie tight end Jermaine Gresham, then found Chad Ochocinco for a six-yard score.

Bengals rookie cornerback Brandon Ghee was carted off the field midway through the third quarter after a violent helmet-to-helmet collision with running back Chad Simpson. Ghee, who suffered a head injury and had movement in his arms and legs, lay motionless for several minutes before he was able to take a few groggy steps on his own to the cart.

Carolina 15, Tennessee 7: The Panthers’ overhauled defense hardly looked like it missed Julius Peppers, sacking Vince Young four times, keeping Vince Johnson in check and holding the Titans to 50 yards in the first half.

Jacksonville 19, Tampa Bay 13: Luke McCown threw the winning touchdown pass and Josh Scobee kicked four field goals for the Jaguars. The Buccaneers’ Josh Johnson was nine for 14 for 122 yards filling in for injured Josh Freeman, and Mike Williams caught three passes for 83 yards.

Detroit 35, Cleveland 27: Matthew Stafford threw a touchdown pass, rookie Jahvid Best had a 51-yard run and Aaron Brown scored twice in the fourth quarter for the Lions. Browns defensive back Nick Sorensen was able to move his arms and legs after being taken off the field on a backboard in the second quarter. He was covering a kickoff when he was blocked simultaneously by the Lions’ Caleb Campbell and Andre Fluellen.

Houston 23, Dallas 7: Arian Foster rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown for the Texans. The Cowboys’ Tony Romo was sacked twice and fumbled, and Dallas mustered seven yards rushing before the reserves took over late in the third quarter.

Minnesota 24, Seattle 13: Brett Favre completed 16 of 26 passes for 187 yards with two interceptions, and he took a couple of big hits while playing two series into the third quarter for the Vikings.

Franklin emerged as one of the top nose tackles in the league last season with 36 tackles, two sacks and an interception. … Kansas City Chiefs rookie linebacker Cameron Sheffield was released from a hospital after suffering a neck injury Friday in an exhibition game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Sheffield, who has movement in all of his extremities, was hurt in a helmet-to-helmet collision in the third quarter.
