Baseball: Bracket released for Southern California Showdown

The baseball season begins next month, and the Southern California Showdown features top City Section and Southern Section teams.

Action begins on Feb. 25 and continues Feb. 28, March 2, 4 and 7.

The pools:

A: Burbank, Calabasas, Dos Pueblos, El Camino Real.

B: Agoura, Burroughs, Chatsworth, Malibu.

C: Crespi, Quartz Hill, Valencia, Westlake.

D: Hart, Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, Rio Mesa, Santa Monica.

E: Lancaster, Oaks Christian, Santa Barbara, West Ranch.

F: Birmingham, Camarillo, Harvard-Westlake, Saugus.

G: Alemany, Newbury Park, Poly, Simi Valley.

H: Cleveland, Moorpark, Thousand Oaks, Ventura.

One of the top glames should be Sherman Oaks Notre Dame at Hart on Feb. 28.
