Football: Cathedral’s Rhedi Short commits to UCLA

Rhedi Short, a 6-foot-2 junior free safety at L.A. Cathedral, wasted little time in deciding his college choice.

As soon as UCLA made an offer on Thursday, Short committed to the Bruins. It was his first offer.

Coach Kevin Pearson said Short has been making steady improvement .

“He comes up and hits,” Pearson said. “Coaches like his speed.”
