SoCal coaches of the year to be honored in Sacramento [Updated]

The California Coaches’ Assn. will honor a group of individuals as Southern California coaches of the year at a banquet in Sacramento on June 14.

Among the honorees: Scott Nielsen, Jurupa Hills cross country, rookie coach of the year; Vicki Feilzer, Arroyo Grande girls’ tennis, female assistant of the year; Felix Cortez, Ventura basketball, male assistant of the year; Jan Hethcock, Oaks Christian, boys’ athletic director; Wend Triplett, L.A. Marshall, girls’ athletic director; Will Aaron, Gardena Serra, baseball; Doug Mitchell, Bishop Montgomery, boys’ basketball; Ann Larson, Ventura, girls’ basketball.
