Angels 4, Rockies 4 (10)

AT THE PLATE: Mike Trout hit a home run that cleared the 410-foot sign in center field with plenty of room to spare. Matt Long, a longshot for a backup outfield spot, homered to raise his spring average to .444. Albert Pujols had two hits; he has seven hits in his last 14 at-bats after starting the Cactus League with one hit in 15 at-bats.

ON THE MOUND: Jered Weaver worked five innings, giving up three runs and nine hits, including a long home run to Carlos Gonzalez. Manager Mike Scioscia said Weaver’s fastball command is “still developing.” Weaver said he focused on off-speed pitches Saturday and said the home run came on a slider with poor location. Closer Ernesto Frieri and setup man Joe Smith each worked a scoreless inning.

EXTRA BASES: Trout was hit by a pitch on the left arm. He shrugged it off, took first base, then stole second base on the next pitch. Outfielder Brennan Boesch got a rare spring-training ejection for arguing a called third strike.
