Rick Friedman Reader Comment of the Day: “I said it before and I will say it again. The Twin Tower experiment has been a HUGE DISASTROUS FAILURE. There is such thing as reaching a point of negative return and this pipedream fantasy about size advantage has reached such a point.

Having two big and slow front-line players opened the LAL to huge disadvantage in lack of speed and athleticism. If these two are not capable of pounding and pulverizing the opponents into submission then their team will pay the price instead. I repeat: size advantage is OVER-RATED. I don’t care which, Gasol or Bynum but one of them has to go in exchange for what the Lakers desperately needed: speed, athleticism and depth (meaning bench strength). Only then can LAL even dream of competing with the likes of Heat and Thunder.” -- darrenbruin
