NBA: Struggling Cavaliers fall to Bulls, 111-105, for third straight loss

Jimmy Butler scored 26 points, Dwyane Wade had 24 and the Chicago Bulls beat LeBron James and the slumping Cleveland Cavaliers, 111-105, on Friday night. 

Taj Gibson had a season-high 23 points and 11 rebounds for Chicago, and Rajon Rondo had 15 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds as the balanced Bulls handed the Cavaliers their third straight loss. 

James showed up in a Chicago Cubs uniform to honor a World Series bet with his buddy Wade, then scored 27 points. Kyrie Irving added 20 points and eight assists, but the defending NBA champions matched their longest losing streak in a year. 

at San Antonio 107, Washington 105: Kawhi Leonard scored 23 points, including the winning jumper with six seconds left, and the Spurs overcame another sluggish start at home to beat the Wizards for the 17th straight time in San Antonio. Bradley Beal led Washington with 23 points, shooting five for five from three-point range.

at New York 118, Minnesota 114: Carmelo Anthony scored 29 points, Derrick Rose had 24 and Kyle O'Quinn had 20 points and 13 rebounds as the Knicks completed a home-and-home sweep of the Timberwolves. Zach LaVine had 24 points for Minnesota, which lost to New York by two points Wednesday in Minneapolis. 

at Boston 97, Sacramento 92: Al Horford had 26 points and blocked six shots, Isaiah Thomas scored 14 of his 20 points in the second half and the Celtics held off the Kings

Detroit 121, at Atlanta 85: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 23 points, and the Pistons tied a team record with 17 three-pointers to win for the fifth time in six games and hand the reeling Hawks their eighth loss in nine games.

Houston 128, at Denver 110: James Harden had 20 points, seven assists and six rebounds, and six other players scored in double figures for the Rockets, who have won four of their last five.

Orlando 105, at Philadelphia 88: Aaron Gordon scored a season-high 20 points, Nikola Vuvevic had 12 points, 11 rebounds and five assists and the Magic cruised by the 76ers in a matchup of struggling Eastern Conference teams.
