Pac-12 basketball: Chris Boucher leads No. 15 Oregon to another victory

Chris Boucher scored a career-high 29 points off the bench to help lead No. 15 Oregon past Washington State, 85-66, on Saturday for its 13th straight victory.

Dylan Ennis added 17 points for Oregon (15-2, 4-0 Pac-12 play), which won despite leading scorer Dillon Brooks being ejected early in the game.

Four players scored in double figures for Washington State (9-6, 2-1), which had its four-game winning streak snapped.

Washington State led 16-15 when Brooks was called for a flagrant foul on Josh Hawkinson while they battled for the ball and the Ducks star was ejected with 13:20 left in the first. Brooks had already scored seven points, half his average.

Boucher filled the void, making 10 of 14 shots from the field and adding eight rebounds.

The teams, who were tied at 37 at halftime, traded baskets in the early minutes of the second half until consecutive three-pointers by Ennis and Roman Sorkin gave Oregon a 53-48 lead. Ennis sank another three-pointer to give Oregon a 59-50 lead with 10:33 left.

A three-pointer by Boucher pushed the Ducks’ lead to 13, and Oregon rolled to victory. Oregon leads this long-running series 167-124. This is the only meeting this season between the teams.

Utah 88, at Arizona State 82: Kyle Kuzma scored 19 of his career-high 26 points in the second half and had 12 rebounds for the Utes (11-4, 2-1).

Obinna Oleka helped the Sun Devils (9-8, 2-2) cut the deficit to 82-80 on a two-handed slam.

The Utes shot 55% and made eight of 16 three-point shots.

Shannon Evans scored 21 points for the Sun Devils.

at Washington 87, Oregon State 61: Freshman Markelle Fultz had 20 points and Matisse Thybulle had 17 to help lift the Huskies (8-7, 1-2).

The Huskies opened the second half with a 13-2 run and pushed the lead to 56-30 with 15:01 left on a dunk by Fultz, who had nine points during the spurt.

The Beavers (4-13, 0-4) missed six of their first seven shots in the second half on the way to losing for the ninth time in the last 10 games.
