Jack Nicklaus puts his money where his mouth is
In the years since his playing career ended, Jack Nicklaus has spent much of his time in the serious pursuit of designing golf courses and products related to the sport he once dominated.
Now comes something fun.
“It’s no secret that I love ice cream,” Nicklaus said.
The man who holds the record with 18 victories in major championships has partnered with a Minnesota food company to produce a line of frozen desserts.
Jack Nicklaus premium ice creams will include seven flavors ranging from Salted Caramel Toffee to Coffee and Donuts, the former golfer said in a news release on Wednesday.
His brand will be sold by the pint at Winn Dixie, Bi-Lo and Kroger stores.
Nicklaus and his wife, Barbara, have been closely involved in launching the brand.
“Needless to say, I have never had so much fun in the research and development of a product,” he said.
