After the initial excitement of winning the Stanley Cup wore off, Kings fans began to plan for Monday’s parade.
Dan Turner tweeted, “The @LAKings Stanley Cup Parade is this Monday....I am not working this Monday.....hmmmmmm.”
“Is anybody going to the @LAKings parade? I really want to go,” Lisabeth M. said on Twitter.
Jackie Nadler added, “Will someone please take me to the @LAKings Stanley cup parade?”
Other fans were a little more direct. Autumn Haile tweeted, “Whose calling in sick for the @LAKings parade?”
“Ima make my mom come to the LA kings parade on Monday with me,” Susan Lorenzana tweeted.
But because Monday is still technically a work day, some fans aren’t as lucky.
Lexxie Amour tweeted, “WHY DOES THE @LAKings PARADE HAVE TO BE ON MONDAY. OF COURSE I WORK ALL DAY, UGH WHY ME!”
Cesar & Donna tweeted, “@LAKings Can you guys write a note to my employer so I can miss work n attend parade? Let's do it!!
Out-of-town fans were also trying to make plans. “I would do anything to be home monday for the @LAKings parade!” Jackie Pacheco tweeted.
Corey Nawrocki added, “Can somebody fly me out to LA monday for the @LAKings parade please?”
And yet, the excitement of the parade and Stanley Cup run was lost on some. Michael tweeted, “Wait The LA Kings won 2 Stanley cups in 3 years?”
