David Grosso, a

District of Columbia

councilman, said Wednesday he plans to introduce a resolution that would call on the Washington Redskins to change their nickname, which he says is “racist and derogatory.”

He added a majority of his fellow council members support his resolution and even came up with an alternative nickname: the Redtails, in honor of the Tuskegee Airmen.
