Boss Tagaloa, a top defensive lineman in the 2016 recruiting class, is thought to be leaning toward UCLA.

But the 6-foot-1, 300-pound Tagaloa won’t make a commitment until signing day in February.

“I am waiting, making sure I make the perfect decision for me,” Tagaloa said Thursday at The Opening football camp in Beaverton, Ore.

Tagaloa, from De La Salle High in Concord, Calif., said he liked the Bruins’ staff and defensive line coach Angus McClure.

“He’s a different kind of coach when it comes to defensive line,” Tagaloa said. “He’s coming from an offensive standpoint, so he knows how to use offensive linemen’s weaknesses and use that as strengths for the defensive line.”

Tagaloa will make official visits to UCLA and Alabama and said he might also visit Michigan and Washington.
