If Steve Sarkisian or some of his assistants don’t work out as coaches at USC, the Trojans have an offer to keep the position in the family.

“I’m going to coach my Trojans one day,” former Trojans tailback LenDale White said in an interview with Vice Sports. “I have to.”

It’s been nearly two months since White was escorted from the Coliseum after the Trojans’ victory over Colorado. The week before, he had made disparaging comments about the coaching staff on Twitter as the Trojans nearly lost to Arizona.

“I don’t want washed-up coaches or people who haven’t won with other teams to come take over my team,” White told Vice Sports.

White said he would bring back “those glory years,” when the Trojans won back-to-back Associated Press national titles in 2003 and 2004.

“One thing you can never take away is what LenDale White did do,” said White, who played four NFL seasons. “He did some amazing things.”

White’s 342 points and 52 touchdowns rushing are USC records.
