USC recruiting: Defensive lineman Rasheem Green to join Trojans

USC’s added depth to its defensive line as Gardena Serra’s Rasheem Green announced Wednesday that he would join the Trojans.

Green made his announcement during a ceremony at Serra.

“I just felt like USC was the best fit for me,” he said. “I just felt like USC’s on the rise and I felt like I could have an impact there.”

High School: Gardena Serra

Schools considered: Oregon, Miami and Arizona State

Notes: Green is part of what has become a Serra pipeline to USC. Cornerback Adoree’ Jackson, quarterback Jalen Greene and linebacker Olajuwon Tucker played at Serra, as did former Trojans receivers Robert Woods, Marqise Lee and George Farmer. ... Green is part of a USC class that also has commitments from defensive linemen Jacob Daniel, Christian Rector and Noah Jefferson.
