USC recruiting update: The contact period begins

USC coaches will begin in-home visits with recruits as the contact period begins

Coaches will be able to make in-home visits with recruits when the contact period starts Sunday.

USC coaches will visit multiple recruits in the Southland.

Receivers coach Tee Martin will visit Long Beach City College receiver De’Quan Hampton, who committed in June. Martin will also visit Riverside Community College receiver Isaac Whitney, who was offered in October.

Gardena Serra High linebacker John Houston and defensive lineman Rasheem Green are top priorities in the 2015 class.

Linebackers coach Peter Sirmon will visit Houston and defensive line coach Chris Wilson will visit Green.

Houston and Green have taken official visits to Oregon and Miami.

Defensive backs coach Keith Heyward will visit San Marcos Mission Hills defensive back Dechaun Holiday.

Holiday has not taken any official visits during his high school season.
