Newport Harbor Art Museum will offer a film and lecture program and classes for children and adults in conjunction with the upcoming exhibition, “Edward Hopper: Selections from the Permanent Collection of the Whitney Museum of American Art,” which opened Sunday and will be held through March 17. * On Jan. 31 at 7:30 p.m., the museum will screen “Edward Hopper” (49 minutes), a documentary about the artist’s life, which includes his comments on specific works and conversations with curator Gail Levin, and “Hopper’s Silence” (46 minutes), which combines archival footage, commentary and views of his paintings.
