Poker players compete for $5 million at Hard Rock tournament

This is the week some poker player will turn $3,500 or less into a World Poker Tour trophy, national TV attention and, oh, more than $1 million. The Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown, part of the World Poker Tour, began Thursday, April 16, with local amateurs and top pros trying to win enough chips to carry them into the final table, which will be taped April 22 at Hard Rock Live for broadcast on Fox Sports Net. The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood guarantees $5 million in total prize money for the tournament.
