JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon says he has throat cancer

Jamie Dimon, chairman and chief executive of banking giant JPMorgan Chase & Co., revealed Tuesday that he has been diagnosed with throat cancer. In a memo to JPMorgan employees and shareholders, Dimon, 58, called his prognosis excellent and the cancer curable. He said that he expects to soon begin about eight weeks' worth of chemotherapy and radiation treatment and that he has "been advised that I will be able to continue to be actively involved in our business" during that time.  Dimon has led New York-based JPMorgan since the end of 2005, making him the longest-tenured CEO among the six largest U.S. banks.
