Westmont theater project stopped by financial issue

Financial problems have halted a plan for a live venue theater in downtown Westmont. Keith Erickson and Eldon Olmstead, of Westmont, proposed remodeling a vacant building at 11 W. Quincy Street into the theater with seating for up to 300 people. The businessmen, however, decided not to purse the theater project earlier this year because the landlord of the building decided to reduce his contribution to refurbish the structure by $200,000, according to Erickson.
