At last, port gets green light to future

For vivid proof of how the federal government works at snail-like speed, look no further than Port Everglades. For almost two decades, we've been hearing about the proposed improvements coming to the port, in particular the channel-dredging project. Finally, last week, a plan to deepen and widen Port Everglades won approval from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
