Not really 'too expensive' to be Jewish; just takes commitment and some checking around for options

To the editor: Kudos to Leslee Komaiko for sharing her personal family experience and shining light on the financial barriers some Jewish families face in accessing their religion. (“It’s too expensive to be Jewish,” Opinion, July 30)

Attracting and retaining younger families, couples and singles is, indeed, a top-of-the-tongue issue facing many institutions in the Jewish community.

At our synagogue, the Board of Directors recognized the importance of opening our doors to this cohort.
