Football: Busy Thursday this week thanks to Yom Kippur

Yom Kippur, the holiest day for the Jewish faith, is on Friday, and lots of high school football teams have switched their games to Thursday night. Players who are Jewish will appreciate the scheduling change. One of the biggest changes was made by Alemany High, which switched its scheduled Mission League showdown with Chaminade to Thursday night under urging from the Los Angeles Archdiocese. Chaminade has the largest Jewish student body of any Archdiocese school. One of Chaminade's top players is lineman Bar Milo, whose parents were born in Israel.
