Monday's recap: Reds 13, Cubs 6

  The Cubs blew a two-run lead Monday night as the Reds pulled away for a 13-6 victory at Wrigley Field. Reliever Justin Grimm allowed a pair of two-run home runs to Eugenio Suarez and pinch hitter Adam Duvall in the sixth, and the Reds piled on six runs in the ninth. At the plate The Cubs hadn't recorded a hit with runners in scoring position since Thursday until Addison Russell's two-run double in the fifth. On the mound Kyle Hendricks was instructed to intentionally walk Joey Votto with runners at first and second and two out in the fifth, but Brandon Phillips foiled manager Joe Maddon's strategy by hitting a two-run single to snap a 1-1 tie.
