Jordan Farmar receives platelet-rich plasma shot for hamstring tear

On Monday, Jordan Farmar received a platelet-rich plasma injection into his torn left hamstring. The Lakers point guard was injured Sunday in a loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.  Farmar played just 56 seconds before limping to the locker room. Farmar posted a picture of the procedure: He also included this message: "LakerNation: I'm bummed about the news today, but already workin towards gettin back! PRP done this afternoon...healthy blood platelets put directly into the tear! I'll be back ASAP and better than ever! Our guys got heart and will keep fightin! Thanks for the well wishes...positivity goes a long way!" Farmar is expected to be out for a month....
