The Lakers (12-33) lost their eighth straight game on Sunday night, falling to the Houston Rockets (31-14).  Here are five takeaways from their 99-87 defeat at Staples Center. 1. James Harden torched all comers, scoring 37 points in just over 35 minutes. The all-star hit nine of 10 free throws and four of 11 from three-point range, dished five assists and collected eight rebounds. The Lakers did force six turnovers from Harden but that didn't really make a dent in the final outcome.
