Clippers complete coaching staff by hiring Lawrence Frank

The Clippers have hired Lawrence Frank as an assistant coach after he reached a buyout agreement with the Brooklyn Nets. Frank had a trying season in which he clashed with Coach Jason Kidd and was demoted to compiling daily reports. Frank, 44, had previously been given a six-year, $6-million contract by the Nets that made him the highest-paid assistant coach in NBA history. He has spent parts of nine seasons as a head coach with the New Jersey Nets and Detroit Pistons, compiling a 279-335 record.
