Kings' DeMarcus Cousins replacing injured Kobe Bryant in All-Star Game

Kobe Bryant will miss his second straight All-Star Game in February, out for the season with a torn rotator cuff. On Friday, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver added Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins to the Western Conference All-Star roster as Bryant's replacement. Bryant was voted in as a starter, by the fans last week, to his 17th All-Star Game, second only to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who was selected 19 times over his career. The 36-year old Bryant missed last year's game with a knee injury, and also sat out in 2010, and played a token three minutes in 2008.
