Bucks-Raptors game canceled over court safety concerns in Milwaukee
The final preseason game for the Milwaukee Bucks and Toronto Raptors was canceled with 5 minutes 58 seconds left in the first quarter Friday when officials deemed the court unsafe for play after several players fell.
Milwaukee unveiled the BMO Harris Bradley Center’s new court in September, which uses a Nitropanel floor system designed to absorb impact on the floor and reduce player injury, according to the Bucks’ official website.
The Bucks had a 14-9 lead over the visiting Raptors when the game was stopped, according to the Associated Press. Milwaukee’s home opener is scheduled for Nov. 2 against the same team.
The Bucks were hosts to the Charlotte Bobcats on the same floor on Oct. 12.
Milwaukee was eliminated from the playoffs last season by the eventual NBA champion Miami Heat.
