NFL, players union announce changes to drug policy

The NFL and its players' union have agreed on a new drug policy that will enable the league to begin HGH testing and allow some supspended players to immediately begin participating with their teams, the league and the NFL Players Assn. jointly announced Wednesday. The agreement applies only to the league's policy on performance enhancing substances; the two sides are nearing an agreement on substance abuse, they said in the statement. Teams and players will receive information on HGH testing, which is expected to start within the next two weeks.
