Frank Caliendo, him again, impersonated David Letterman on Fox’s NFL show Sunday, listing “Top Ten Dallas Cowboys Excuses”:

10. “Not enough guys named Roy Williams.”

9.Brett Favre hasn’t called to give them a scouting report on their opponents.”

8. “Once again, Jones became a distraction to his team … then again, he is the owner.”

7. “Once Michael Strahan picks you to win the Super Bowl, it’s over.”

6. “Not only do we believe our own press, we read it to each other in the huddle.”

5. “Except for the Rams, Cardinals, Bengals, and Browns, we’ve had a tough schedule so far.”

4. “The average Cowboy can do less push-ups than Curt Menefee.”

3. “Nobody can get the ball to T.O. so he can drop it.”

2. “Distracted by all the promotion for ‘Frank TV.’”

1. “Tired of being ‘America’s Team,’ want to be ‘Mexico’s Team.’”

Few like attention more than Jerry Jones. But he seemed offended by a Bob Costas reference on NBC to the Cowboys as ‘a motley collection of characters.’’

‘I going to take exception with the motley aspect of your description,’’ Jones said.

Characters apparently was OK.

Here is an example of Caliendo taking on the NFL last season.
