Ex-USC quarterback Max Wittek voted a team captain at Hawaii

The Hawaii football team voted former USC quarterback Max Wittek as one of four team captains this spring. Wittek will compete to start at quarterback for the Rainbow Warriors in the fall after he was sidelined during the 2014 season because of NCAA transfer rules. He has one season of eligibility remaining. In 2013, Wittek lost the starting job to Cody Kessler and left the team after the season. Wittek started two games at USC in 2012 when Matt Barkley was sidelined because of an injury. He threw for 186 yards and a touchdown, with an interception, in a loss to top-ranked Notre Dame.
