William Kehoe, cabdriver known for doling out advice, dies at 63

If you happened to get picked up from the airport by Bill Kehoe's cab, you got more than just a ride home. "It's an old cliche — getting advice from a cabbie," said Dan Hollenbach, a customer of Kehoe's for more than 10 years. "But I know Billy gave a lot of advice to a lot of people." A paraplegic since he was 40 years old, Kehoe drove one of the only cabs in Chicago operated with hand controls.
