Clippers Associate Head Coach Alvin Gentry is indeed leaving Los Angeles to take the same position with the Golden State Warriors, NBA officials who were not authorized to speak publicly on the matter confirmed. Gentry has agreed to a three-year deal that will pay him about $800,000 per season, the officials said, making him the highest-paid assistant in the NBA. Gentry will join the staff of newly hired Golden State Coach Steve Kerr, whom he worked with when both were with the Phoenix Suns.
