Knott’s Berry Farm unveils Halloween Haunt 2011 shows

Knott’s Berry Farm will add three new shows for Halloween Haunt 2011, according to theme park officials.

The 39th annual Knott’s Scary Farm will take place Wednesday through Sunday evenings from Sept. 23 through Oct. 31 (except for Sept. 28).

The granddaddy of Halloween events will feature 13 mazes, four scare zones and seven shows throughout the Buena Park theme park.

New shows for 2011:

> “Putz Prank Party” – Prop comedian Marty Putz on the Wagon Camp stage.

> “Cursed” – The Red Moon Dance Company on the Gypsy Camp stage (near the GhostRider coaster).

> “Haunt Wonders of Technology” – A comedic look at past Halloween Haunt special effects in the Bird Cage Theater.

Returning shows from 2010:

> “The Hanging” returns to the Calico Square Stage with a “Cowboys & Aliens and Superheros Oh My!” theme in a PG-13 pop-culture comedy revue that has satirized, skewered and sacrificed more than 1,500 celebrities since its 1976 debut.

> “Psycho Circus of Magic and Mayhem” – Ed Alonzo, the illusionist on Britney Spears’ 2009 “Circus” tour, presents magic and comedy in the Charles M. Schulz Theater.

> “Sideshow of Horrors” – Sideshow performer Zarmora the Torture King in the Boardwalk Ballroom.

> “Blood Drums” – The Street Drum Corps on the Camp Snoopy stage.
