NASCAR week in Las Vegas brings with it the entertainment stock car fans love, including shows and country music. Enter Bill Engvall, the comedian from the “Blue Collar Comedy” troupe, who makes a stop at Treasure Island on Friday, Mar. 6.
This marks the fifth year Engvall has headlined at the resort. Engvall was a finalist on “Dancing With the Stars,” where he partnered with Emma Slater in 2013 and not only learned he could do the fox trot, but lost 35 pounds on his way to a fourth place finish. He liked it so much that he recommended dance lessons to his son.

Engvall’s career includes stints as the host of “Country Fried Home Videos” on CMT and “Lingo” on the Game Show Network. He even starred in and produced “The Bill Engvall Show” on TBS and provided the voice to one of the four main characters on CMT’s first-ever animated project, “Bounty Hunters.”

Much like his blue collar buddies Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy and Ron White (in town on Wednesday, Mar. 4, at the neighboring Mirage), Engvall loves to poke fun at “stupid people.” His “Here’s your sign” schtick stems from his early days in comedy when he sold signs at the back of the club. “So back in the club days, I came up with these signs — one for $1 or two for $5. You’d be amazed at how many people bought two.”

Now he hosts “Off the Cuff with Bill Engvall” on Sirius/XM’s Blue Collar Radio, released his 11th comedy album “Ultimate Laughs” in 2014 and just completed filming of the television movie “Do It Yourself.”

Tickets start at $59.95.
