Proposed L.A. ordinance would limit new billboards
The Los Angeles City Council is considering an ordinance that would dramatically reduce the number of locations that would be eligible to have "sign districts" – places where new billboards could be permitted.
Note: New billboards can also be permitted anywhere in the city, as part of a “specific plan.” The proposed sign ordinance would ensure that those exceptions would no longer be allowed.
