Police lines block owners from retrieving horses

About 12:45 p.m. on Del Dios Road in Rancho Santa Fe, homeowners and horse owners were piled up at police blockades, devastated that they couldn’t retrieve their animals and belongings.
‘They won’t let us in!’ said Jean Hamilton, who stables her horse at Rancho East.
‘They can’t let us in. They are doing their job,’ said the owner of the stable, Ginger Hill, who said she was able to evacuate only 50 of the 60 horses on her land.
‘We realized we needed to evacuate only an hour ago,’ Hamilton said.
