Beverly Center in Los Angeles will present a number of events during this year’s holiday season, including appearances by the shopping center’s famous Hunky Santa:

  • -- Visit the center’s annual snow globes exhibit, complete with multi-sensory sights and sounds, now through Dec. 24. This year’s theme is ‘The Polar Express.’ Visitors can play in the engine, get ‘snowed on’ inside the giant snow globe and be transported to the North Pole in an interactive experience.
  • -- Hunky Santa has appeared at Beverly Center since 2001 as an alternative to the traditional St. Nick. This year’s Hunky Santa was chosen from more than 350 applicants and will make his grand debut on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, with appearances -- including dance numbers -- through Christmas Eve. Hunky Santa, who is known to wear tank tops and bare his six-pack abs, will be accompanied by an entourage of female dancers known as the Candy Cane Girls.

-- For those who dread paying for parking, the shopping center is offering free parking to all shoppers on Black Friday.
