President Obama is headlining a fundraiser for Sen. Barbara Boxer Tuesday night, instead of cleaning up the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. That’s the thrust of a new attack from the National Republican Senatorial Committee. ‘Instead of providing his undivided attention to fix this colossal Gulf Coast crisis, the President is making a frantic trip across the country to help Boxer, whose partisan voting record in favor of the Obama Administration’s stimulus debacle, massive health care overhaul, and out-of-control spending agenda in Washington has put her at risk of losing her seat in the U.S. Senate this November,’ reads a release sent by the committee Tuesday.

Obama is scheduled to attend two Boxer fundraisers in San Francisco Tuesday evening, and tour a Bay Area solar panel manufacturer Wednesday.
