Tim Dahlberg, Associated Press columnist, wrote that Ramirez ‘should be happy with what he could get.’’

Michael Bauman of MLB.com wrote it was a win-win, while his colleague, Tom Singer, wrote that the Dodgers surged ahead in the NL West before the first pitch has been thrown.

As for the other Dodgers players -- oh, yeah, they have other players -- they are thrilled with the signing, SI.com reports.
