ESPN gets ratings boost from Lakers

Seems folks wanted to see the Lakers when they were down. Or they didn’t have anything to do Saturday night.

According to ESPN, Game 3 of Saturday’s NBA Western Conference finals between the Lakers and Denver Nuggets -- when the Lakers were coming off a home loss -- attracted 8,725,587 viewers (a 5.4 rating) and became ESPN’s most-viewed conference finals telecast. The previous leader was a 2006 Detroit-Miami Eastern Conference finals game.
