Don’t know if you’ve heard, but a change in the weather is forecasted for this weekend. With my luck, it’ll start pouring just as No. 13 Dominguez and No. 16 Redlands East Valley tee off at 7:30 Friday night at University of Redlands.

It probably doesn’t help that Redlands is surrounded by mountains, meaning the clouds will likely double-park over my head for next three hours, or I’ll get struck by lightning.

I wonder if I can hold an umbrella, my notepad, a pen and a blogberry at the same time? (Editor’s note: Now thats’ multi-tasking!)

At least I feel like I’m getting around. This will be the second time I’ve scouted REV and Dominguez, and I’ve already seen No. 2 Corona Centennial twice.

Therefore, you should only discount half of what I write.

The way I see it, if the natural-grass field is slippery, Dominguez will slip and fall just enough to offset the long runs. Chris Polk, a USC-bound all-purpose back for Redlands East Valley, will find a couple different routes to the end zone and the Wildcats will slip by, literally, 20-12.

I’ll keep ya posted.
