Southern Section cross-country finals: Van Halen goes solo

Not sure if ‘Runnin’ with the Devil’ was named after Aric Van Halen, but the Oakwood senior ran like one this morning at the Southern Section Division V finals at Mt. SAC.

Van Halen, the son of Van Halen drummer Alex Van Halen, won the 2.91-mile race in 15:40, a three-second victory over Verreaux Conner.

Van Halen fans might as well jump.
